O.U.R. Mothers, Inc. is proud to advance our enduring commitment to literacy through our new In the Paint Readers Literary Program, a signature initiative designed to inspire a lifelong love of books and reading in children.
Guided by the vision of Jennifer Ivy, educator and co-founder of O.U.R. Mothers, Inc., fueled by her deep passion for cultivating young readers, this initiative expands access to meaningful, age-appropriate books. Through strategic partnerships with current and former NBA and WNBA athletes who are published authors, as well as corporations, nonprofit organizations, and like-minded community stakeholders, we distribute books to youth of the communities that we serve.
In addition to our In the Paint Readers initiative, this year marks the renaming of our annual shoe giveaway—Sneakers for Success, Adopt-A-School Program at ICEF Inglewood Elementary Charter Academy. Sneakers for Success is a program in which O.U.R. Mothers, Inc., provides brand-new sneakers to a school during NBA All-Star Weekend.
We are honored to welcome former NBA player and author C.J. Watson as our featured guest.
Together, we are inspiring the next generation — one book, one child, and one story at a time.
