2nd ANNUAL TORTUGA HOLIDAY GIVEAWAY
I am writing to ask for your support as we continue an effort close to my heart—giving back to my village, Tortuga in the island of Trinidad and Tobago. Last year, with all funds personally provided by me, we were able to bless the families of Tortuga and the surrounding villages during the holiday season. This year, I hope to expand this effort and create an opportunity for others to join by donating through O.U.R. Mothers, Inc. website, here or using the form directly below.
Many families continue to face financial challenges, and our goal is simply to help bring warmth, joy, and comfort to the villagers during the holidays.
This marks the Second Annual Tortuga Holiday Giveaway, and we look forward to making this tradition one of love, gratitude, and community uplift.
Last Year’s Impact
Last holiday season, O.U.R. Mothers, Inc. proudly highlighted the heartfelt contributions of Patricia “Paddy” Hibbert, who generously supported her hometown of Tortuga and neighboring villages. Nestled in the Montserrat Hills, Tortuga is a close-knit community rich in culture and heritage.
Historically known for cocoa, coffee, and later sugar cane production, the village has faced economic challenges since the closure of sugar factories. Many families now rely on small-crop farming, yet financial hardship remains a daily reality.
In response, Patricia coordinated holiday boxes filled with gifts, food items, and festive treats to ensure joy reached every home. The distribution was lovingly supported by her sister Theresa Roberts-Salandy, lifelong friend Heather Hunte, and Debbie Boulet, who organized the families and led the villagers in coordination for this giving.
The impact was profound—bright smiles, full hearts, and a renewed sense of togetherness. Photos from the 2024 giveaway event are featured below.
How You Can Help This Year
Your contribution—no matter the amount—will help ensure that families receive meaningful support and holiday cheer once again this year. Together, we can bring comfort and joy to households that continue to face economic challenges.
This year’s effort is once again led by Patricia “Paddy” Hibbert in partnership with O.U.R. Mothers, Inc. All donations collected through our website will go directly towards supporting this charitable cause. Please visit our donation page to contribute or use the donation form below.
